Production is powered by solar energy. Swedish Stockings uses recycled and sustainable materials. The water used during production and dyeing is subsequently purified and is even safe to drink. Nylon yarn, currently used to manufacture modern pantyhose, is produced through an environmentally damaging, petroleum-based manufacturing process that results in harmful carbon emissions. Moreover, modern pantyhose aren‘t made to last. These harmful practices in the fashion industry are pervasive. We believe the world needs more innovative and eco-conscious products to pave the way, and that‘s how Swedish Stockings was born.

Swedish Stockings produces pantyhose from both pre- and post-consumer nylon waste. The production process is far less harmful to the environment than traditional nylon production, and we are constantly seeking innovative and clean ways to conserve or reuse water, reduce emissions, minimize waste, and recycle. Through this highly efficient recycling process, Swedish Stockings has reduced its energy and water consumption.

Swedish Stockings uses sustainable production methods, environmentally friendly dyes, pays attention to water after-treatment and uses solar energy for a large part of the energy required for the manufacturing process.
